The house
Since 2023
Mahfoud Senoune opened the pastry shop in Aokas in 2023. Word of mouth did the rest: people now come from the town and the villages around it for the trompe-l’œil pieces, the traditional cakes and the celebration orders. The house has grown; the way of working has not — everything comes out of the workshop, made the same day.
Trompe-l’œil
A coloured chocolate shell painted by hand, a fruit centre and a light cream. The piece looks like a mango down to the texture of its skin; you have to cut it to understand. This is the work that sets the house apart.
The window and the room
Cakes are chosen at the window, by weight or by the tray. And there is room to stay: a large air-conditioned family space upstairs, and tables on the terrace when the weather allows.
